It may not look it but you should be able to Dash through the middle of them, I've done it on similar spawns.
Looking at it you may be able to make it round the right hand side too.

Does this also work with Flame Djinn's Haste? I prefer a longer lasting running skill (that also does damage to boot).
And how do you see where the traps are anyway???

Well i tried the middle... but i could not get through them and got blocked so i died. I guess its just a bad spawn that you can sometimes get.

Spawn like happens all the time. When it happens i just go clear all Aatxe i can find and resign. i try to get the max of my 1k entry fee.
As for Dashing through it, i've tryed it many time and each time i got stuck and died

Depending on what build you're using, you can try killing one of them for an opening. It's tricky when the behemoths use healing spring to heal themselves, but you can simply wand them to interrupt it. Learn the timing of their healing spring so you know when to interrupt. Just beware of whirling defense + healing spring.
Now if you used that pic as an example, you can kill the leftmost behemoth by interrupting its healing spring and the healing spring of the behemoth adjacent to it (middle one). You can ignore the rightmost behemoth since its healing spring shouldn't reach & affect the leftmost behemoth.
I normally run the MoR Lava Font variant of SF, so I just cast MoR and wand one of them to a fiery death. The A/Me variant might be able to kill these mons, but maintenance is going to be annoying with Nature's Renewal and a 4 second A.echo cast time.

Maybe not one of the best runs ecto-wise but maybe my most colourful run. Got 6 Ecto, 6 Golds, 2 Scrolls, 3 Grapes, not bad for 27 minutes of work in NM .

Speed boost run to one, pull back quickly. That lets you trigger traps without taking damage/getting conditions on ya. Do this with both, then walk through with np.

Thanks everyone (some people contacted me ingame) I managed a couple runs (5 ectos in my first run ^^).
~A Leprechaun~
*edit* I have been running this build:
[glyph of swiftness][deadly paradox][shadow form][fire attunement][Gole][mark of rodgort][lava font][dash]
I am happy with it and it has been working fine, is there much difference between this one and the Inferno/Pheonix build?

Here's a plains run video for one of the builds - the MoR one, for all of you who are still having problems figuring out the route. Hope it helps a bit.

I usually use Dark Escape instead of Dash, fastest I think for me was 23min. Course I'm not in a speed contest thus take my time really.

Yes, that's what I've been wondering all along: why use Dash???
Dark escape lasts much longer, and even better: Flame Djinn's Haste also deals damage. So why not use these? Are they not good for running over the traps?

I usually go left instead of straight forward -- I find it safer, as sometimes when I get bodyblocked depending on the spawn, I can't get past the group where the Charging Blackness guys go back and forth because the traps kill me. Rubberbanding is bad.

Assuming you're at full health (which you should be) and you hit a trap while under Dark Escape, it'll hurt but won't kill you. Get off the trapped area and regen.

The original reason for [skill]Dash[/skill] was it was the best way to deal with traps. Since then ive realised with experience [skill]Flame Djinns Haste[/skill] is far better, you can get over most traps with it, it provides a speed boost and does some more damage.
A great tip ive been using recently is to do the plains themselves with low health, around 10-50 health, using a vamp to keep it low between aggroes. Its meant I can now get regularly a 19-20 min run, im sure 16-17 is quite possible.

Oh, another thing. There always seems to be a group (usually 2 or 3) of charged blacknesses camped at the gates onto the chaos plains, is this normal, its a pain in the ass but managable. Is it worth killing the graspings/aatxe before you start to go up the mountains? I have been.
